A new trailer for A24’s retro romantic thriller Love Lies Bleeding is here, teasing a cute gym romance about masc women macking on each other. Unfortunately, it all seems doomed to go inevitably, horribly wrong.
Set in the ’80s, Love Lies Bleeding follows the budding relationship between introverted gym manager Lou (Kristen Stewart) and impressively muscular amateur bodybuilder Jackie (Katy O’Brian). The course of true love never did run smooth though, and in this case is met with the sizeable obstacle of Lou’s father Lou Sr. (Ed Harris), a dangerous criminal who özgü caught the FBI’s attention.
It’s only a matter of time before things turn bloody, but here’s hoping it somehow works out for the couple.
